How EDM Affected lives

The article is about how EDM has helped this person become a better person. First thing first, EDM is Electronic Dance Music, its heavily influenced by bass and synthetic sounds. Now that thats established, lets get on to my opinion. Music is said to have influential powers, and it does. The message EDM genre message is to spread love or more accurate PLUR. PLUR means Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. SO as you can see its a pretty great message. That being said I do believe music changed his life to be a better person. As a person who, back when I lied in Puerto Rico, would go to raves often, as there was no\age limit, I have sensed what is like to experience EDM at all levels. Yes, theres the drugs, and the sex and the alcohol but what music genre doesn't have that?  When you enter a rave all you feel is an overwhelming feeling of love an acceptance whether you're wearing a nurse outfit or a rainbow colored sports bra. Its honestly a great culture who makes you feel accepted in a world were most of the time the people at those events, me included, have felt shunned just because we don't like the new Drake song or 5 Seconds of Summer.

The point I'm trying to make is that EDM is one of the most positive genres of music. It does have its own songs about money and hookers but overall it teaches you to respect and love one another. I am a hardcore EDM lover as so is my dad and my older brother. For those who say ravers wont ever amount to much my dad graduated university with a degree in communications, worked as a producer in a tv channel that was very popular in Puerto Rico, and became a sergeant in the Army and is a 3 time veteran with 3 children and a beautiful wife, who was also a raver but now works in accounting. They're great parents and have thought me to just love everyone so I think im gonna turn out fine. Nevertheless, I think I proved my point well enough. EDM is pretty great and if you want listen to it. Thats all. PLUR. <3

For 20 years, Music Maker has helped blues musicians feel special, proud

Tim Duffy, a substitute teacher, went on a search to find Guitar Gabriel, one of the greatest blues musicians, according to his dying friend, Guitar Slim. When he found the man in question what he found was rather shocking and sad. Veteran and who once had a promising career in the music industry has now turned to living in a run down home with barely enough money to survive. Tim, seeing this, decided to help Guitar Gabriel by driving him around town, helping him pay his bills, and finding him a better place to stay.

Seeing that other blues singers were struggling, Duffy created The Music Maker Relief Foundation. It has helped more than 300 artists around the country, issued more than 150 CDs of their work and put many of them on the stages of some of the most hallowed concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center. Doing that has helped put blues back int popular culture and influencing it.
